We review the latest Skinfix range for babies…
You’d have thought that babies would naturally have soft skin, but as we all know, it can be far from the case. Blemishes and rashes are all too familiar, as is early eczema – not really a surprise when you consider how delicate their skin is.
I was recently introduced to the SkinFix range which has already amassed a following in its home country of Canada.
Although it targets eczema prone skin, it’s suitable for all baby skin types, since it’s delicate and fragrance free, with carefully considered ingredients.
The Skinfix Gentle Eczema Balm (60g/£14.50) is a thick and lasting serum that can help prevent flare ups when used with frequency. The Gentle Hair & Body Wash (236ml/£12.99) is generously sized and perfect for daily use, plus it isn’t painful if it gets in their eyes since it’s loaded with natural goodness including emollient oils and jojoba. Translated, that means all nice things for baby soft skin!
Although my son is old enough to not suffer from nappy rash, he occasionally breaks out when teething, and the Nappy Balm (60g/£6.99) will come in very handy at these times, since it has a perfectly thick texture providing a much needed barrier.
Finally my favourite – the Skinfix Gentle Lotion (236ml £12.99) is lovely and nourishing leaving skin feeling glossy and healthy afterwards. It’s intended to be fragrance free, although I would have liked a little bit of a scent.
If you want to get your hands on it, the range is available in Boots and online at skinfix.com
