The magic of Disney on ice (ice baby)!

Remember all the things you wanted growing up but never got? Those roller skates that neatly converted to shoes, Cadbury’s miniatures chocolate machine, and not forgetting MR FROSTY!! Did anyone actually ever get one?

Thankfully my parents had the foresight to get me the one thing I really really wanted… tickets to see Disney On Ice.

I remember it so clearly even to this day. The show was every bit as magical as Disney promised. Seeing my favourite cartoon characters up close was a profound experience – honestly!

I remember the journey in my parents clapped out Volvo to Wembley. I remember the chill of the ice near the seats and the Disney characters waving at me. And I can’t forget that they picked my brother and not me to ride in their car on ice.

Coming to an ice-rink near you…

People on the other side of London probably heard me scream when I found out Disney On Ice presents Passport to Adventure was coming to town this winter. Launching in Glasgow in September, it makes its way around the country (Newcastle, Manchester, Birmingham, Sheffield and finally London) through till December.

And if you’re lucky enough to live in London, you’ll have something to do on those cold winter days. The tour comes to The 02 in the run up to (and just after) Christmas. No, it’s not too soon to start thinking about Christmas presents…

Just as well, as my son is now the right age to appreciate these things and Muma has some nostalgia to relive!

Mouse in the house!

The show is jam packed with all your favourite characters – Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy and Daisy. And there’s Disney’s The Lion King, The Little Mermaid, Peter Pan and of course (get ready for the screams….) Frozen.

In the marketing spiel, it says ‘an experience your family will never forget’. Well, let me tell you, 30 years on from my first ‘Disney on Ice’ experience, I can totally vouch for that.

Some might say it’s time to ‘let it go’ but not for me. Disney On Ice presents Passport to Adventure is a treat not to be missed, get your tickets now!

Tickets to Disney On Ice presents Passport to Adventure are now available from £25.00 www.disneyonice.com
