Kids love a bit of art, which is just as well in this cold cold country, that brings out the best in our creative talents for the many indoor days we have in. Hmmm, perhaps that’s why the Brits excel in the arts.
Either way, there’s many benefits associated with getting arty, here’s just a few:
- Art promotes confidence – it shows your child that they are capable of creating and communicating and with praise, it can really grow their talent.
- It encourages creativity – being creative is an art that we can hone with practice. Art is one of those great past times that a child loves doing at any given opportunity, so encourage their creative streak and get paints, pens and play doh out – they all contribute
- It helps with team work – ever cut out a cereal box and painted it together, or even made a pumpkin at Halloween? This shared team work is showing your child vital skills for today and the future.
“It is the supreme art of the teacher to awaken joy in creative expression and knowledge”
